Litigation Section Scholarship:
15th Annual Litigation Institute & Retreat

Cosponsored by the Litigation Section and endorsed by OTLA and OADC

8.5 General CLE credits
Join the members of the Litigation Section as Michael Tigar returns to the Litigation Institute and Retreat. Michael's presentation, The Nine Principles of Litigation (and Perhaps of Life . . .), promises to inspire and provide a memorable mechanism for incorporating his compelling and practical ideas about litigation into your practice. He believes that being a trial lawyer should be the most fun you can have in a profession.
Also joining him are some of Oregon's most accomplished members of the litigation bar, as well as distinguished members of the judiciary. David Markowitz shares his techniques for preparing and protecting witnesses at deposition and trial, while Peter Richter highlights how persuasive advocacy is more than what you say or how you say it. A panel of judges discuss their perspectives on best practices for written and oral advocacy, while retiring U.S. Magistrate Donald Ashmanskas provides a reminder that good legal writing takes hard work - and gives sage advice to help you fine-tune your briefs and oral arguments.
Please join the Litigation Section in honoring the recipient of the 11th Annual Owen M. Panner Professional Award, Carl Burnham, Jr., Yturri Rose LLP, Ontario, at its award dinner Friday evening.
